A man was arrested on charges of attempted murder after allegedly throwing hot food at his neighbor, police in Florida said.
Orlando Police said that the man is facing charges of attempted second-degree murder after launching hot grits on his neighbor during an argument.
The incident began when 60-year-old Edward Holley, got into a fight with 29-year-old Darryl Blacknell, on Tuesday. Before the attack, Holley warned Blacknell that if he returned he will attack him with hot food.
On Wednesday just after 12:00 p.m., when Holley saw Blacknell on his porch playing cards with friends, he threw the hot food at him. Blacknell suffered second and third degree burns on 30 percent of his body, and will have to be hospitalized for a significant amount of time.
Due to the severity of his injuries, Holley was charged with attempted second-degree murder. During questioning, Holley told police that next time he will kill his neighbor.
