UPDATE!: Boko Haram Failed In Attempt To Bomb Winners Chapel At Owerri

Reports on Sunday said the Police have successfully foiled an attempt to bomb a Living Faith Church, also called Winners Chapel in Owerri,capital of Imo State.

According to the The Eagleongline , “An Improvised Explosive Device was recovered by the police at the premises of the church in the wee hours of Sunday.Owing to this, the Sunday service of the church had to be relocated to another part of the town.

“The device was said to have been spotted by a member of the church.The police anti-bomb disposal unit was called in to defuse the bomb.It was believed to have been planted on Saturday, waiting for detonation during the Sunday service ” the report said.

Police have reportedly confirmed the development just as worshipers were urged to be security conscious.The SSS also recently urged Nigerians to be vigilant in the face of terror attacks.

It was not known if any suspect has been arrested in connection with the foiled incident in Owerri.
