A moving train crushed a middle-aged man yesterday morning in Ilorin. The train was Lagos-Kano bound but had a stop over in Ilorin The incident, which occurred at Isaac Mowo Street, opposite Ilorin office of Coca-Cola Bottling Company, threw people into panic.
When our reporter visited the scene at noon, the headless body of the victim was found lying on the rail track with left hand and leg also chop-off.
The identity of the man was yet to be ascertained as at press time.
A source at the station told our correspondent that the Superintendent Station officer of Nigeria Railway Corporation, Ilorin had been briefed about the incident, and promised that the body would be evacuated soon.
When contacted the police spokesman, Okasanmi Ajayi said his office was yet to briefed on the development but that as soon as information about the incident is available, it would be passed on to the press.
