Two people were killed on Wednesday night while nine others were injured when some insurgents suspected to be members of the Boko Haram stormed Alau Ngawo Fatoye village, some 10 kilometers to Maiduguri.
Our correspondents gathered that some houses and shops were razed by the assailants.
Sources said that the insurgents, numbering 12 with four motorcycles invaded the village around 9pm and opened fire on residents.
Many of the villagers were said to have fled their homes and are yet to return to their homes.
In January scores of people were killed while properties worth millions were destroyed when insurgents invaded the fishing village.
