Seven Nigerian ministers have today, October 15, resigned their positions in the cabinet of President Goodluck Jonathan.
They are Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, Labaran Maku (Information ), Samuel Ortom (Trade and Industry), Nyesom Wike (Minister of State for Education), Emeka Wogu (Labour), Onyebuchi Chukwu (Health) and Minister of State for Niger Delta affairs, Dairus Ishaku.
The Minister for the Federal Capital Territory, Bala Mohammed is also expected to tender his resignation before October 20.
The ministers all vacated their offices to enable them contest in the upcoming 2015 gubernatorial elections.
