A man walked into a local café in Lokoja with his two-year-old and left without her.
According to the Koji State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajia Bilikisu Momoh, the man walked into a local tea joint, popularly known as Maishayi, bought a cup of tea for his daughter and abandoned her there.
The shop owner noticed the girl who was all alone by herself and contacted officials of Lokoja Local Government who later reported the case to the police.
Speaking during a press briefing, Hajia Bilikisu Momoh pleaded with anybody with knowledge of the baby to come forward with information that will reunite her with her family.
The commissioner also revealed that the little girl has gone through series of check-ups and is said to be in good shape except for a slight trace of malaria parasite.
