FG Orders Closing Of Nigeria Football Federation Bank Accounts

The federal government has ordered the closing of Nigeria’s Football federation bank accounts. This is coming just a few days after the house has been denied their N253 million monthly allocation.

To further worsen this, the men in the glass house has been asked to source for their own private ways of making ends meet as their three bank accounts has been frozen.

A source very close to the glass house has stated that the Ministry of Sports acted to avoid further accusation of government’s interference in the administration of football in the country.

The source from the glass house further stated that since FIFA has asked them to stay clear, this has to be done in all areas including funding. Meanwhile, efforts to reach the NFF’s assistant director of communication proved abortive as he is yet to reply an SMS sent to him to confirm the state of the glass house
