A building worker who was left with horrific head injuries after a devastating accident at work, has had a new lease of life after generous well-wishers contributed for his surgery.
Elvis Romeo Lingurar, who head was shattered when he plummeted 1.8m (6 ft) off scaffolding, could not afford the £790 surgery to have his skull rebuilt.
Generous members of the public, however, came to his rescue by raising the cash for him to have the missing part of his head replaced by a prosthetic.
He said after the surgery, “When I saw myself I was very happy to finally be back to normal.”
