FRSC Advises Inspection Of Vehicles Before Boarding!

The Federal Road Safety Commission in Kwara on Friday advised Nigerians to be vigilant while boarding commercial vehicles anywhere.

Mr. Joel Anzaku, the Kwara Assistant Corps Commander of the commission, gave the advice at the launch of “Passenger Speak Out, Don’t Get Killed by Drivers” campaign in Ilorin.

He enjoined passengers to speak out the moment a driver starts driving recklessly.

Anzaku reminded passengers of their right to driving in a bid to safeguard lives and property.

He also urged passengers to always take note of vehicle number plates they were boarding, check tyres and body of the vehicle before boarding.

The assistant corps commander also advised passengers to use the emergency line 122 in case a driver starts driving recklessly.

He noted that any command called would get in touch with the nearest command to arrest the situation.

The FRSC boss, who identified over-speeding and bad driving as major causes of accidents, added that the corps would collaborate with the Ministry of Works and Transport to erect speed limit signs across the state.

Anzaku said anyone found violating traffic rules would be sanctioned accordingly.
